NOTE: Be careful to notice that the day, hour, and instructor for this class have changed since the Spring 2021 semester.
Kids’ Choir is a non-auditioned ensemble for kids from 7 to 9 years old. We will learn a variety of songs, mostly for 1- and 2-part singing, and perform at least twice throughout the semester. We also teach some general music skills, including some rhythmic notation and the Solfege system of hand signals (Do-Re-Mi). They’ll learn steady beat, high and low (pitches), and the fundamentals of singing in tune. The class will also get a little performance experience as they join in our larger choral performances throughout the semester. They’ll learn how to sing with a professional conductor, and they’ll learn some stage craft and performance etiquette.
Tuesdays, 11:00 a.m. to Noon.
The semester runs Tuesday, September 14 through Tuesday, December 7, with the final concert being that night.
$50 per student per semester. This is our discounted rate, so there is no payment plan or large family discount.
The semester-ending concert is Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 6:30 in the Great Room.
You’ll find a current copy of the House Rules for the Great Room here. Please read it before registering and signing the Code of Conduct below.
